Mahen began working at Net-Mastery in November 2005. In the period Mahen has worked with us his skill and dedication has been an asset to our company. He is highly competent using a range of software design programs and has a specialist degree of skill and experience in website design work.

FORK DESIGN

Mahen worked with Fork Design on a full-time contractual basis between November 2005 and February 2006. During that period, he was employed to undertake Website design projects for our clients.

Mahen has been a valued member of our design team. He is a skilled, competent and creative Web Developer. We have benefited from his professionalism and reliability as I have no doubt other companies will in the future.

Fork Design is a creative Graphic Design and Web Design provider based on the Central Coast of NSW. We create tailor-made products to meet our client’s special business requirements, for example by creating or updating internet services and presence. Fork Design specializes in unique and professional internet media services, consulting extensively with clients throughout the development phase. Our clients have included Livit Interiors, Austral Imports, Australian Rainforest Sanctuary, Insignia Country Store, Landscapeland, Sharpline Scissors and B & K Coaches.

Mahen’s duties as a Web Developer included:

• Identifying and testing existing systems for operational deficits and support capabilities
• Consulting with clients and adapting software and design products to suit their media goals and ensure systematic compatibility.
• Designing websites, including functions such as database interactivity, flash multimedia, image galleries, interactive forms, search engine submission strategies, password protected custom interfaces, doorway pages, video streaming, email administration, animations and 3D illustrations.
• Performing website maintenance functions.
• Working within established production and design processes to ensure system compatibility.
• Working within deadlines to ensure on-time service delivery.

Mahen’s skills include:

• Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Design Science (Digital Media), Computer Science & Statistics, and Information Technology (Hons).
• 7 years relevant industry experience.
• Professional capability with software design programs including XHTML, CSS , PHP, Dynamic HTML, XML, DHTML and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of software requirements and systems
• Tools of software design, construction and testing
• Awareness of the key features of successful websites, including search engine hits, accessibility and multi-operating system compatibilities.

Urban Boheme Re-Design Project

Mahen was employed on a contractual basis at Urbane Boheme as the Leading Web Developer. He began work with us in January 2006 in Sydney Office as a web developer. Later became the senior and the leading web developer of the global Urban Boheme work force.   

Mahen possesses the skills and experience of a highly competent well experienced Web Developer and I have no hesitation in supporting his future in that capacity. 

Mahen’s duties and responsibilities as a Web Developer included:

• Completely redesigning and developing the current website, with a particular focus upon the E-commerce sales section in design.
• Designing and developing the new website and its web applications according to the expanding global requirements of the company. Including content management systems, affiliate management systems, e-commerce based applications, payment gateway integrations with secure payment processing and many more custom modules focused on the large scale global audience.
• Testing, developing and modifying Web Application Development programs,
• Performing system analyst functions to identify systemic deficits, including attention to operational accuracy and efficiency.

Outscope (UK based Web Design Development Company)

Mahen worked (Full-Time) with Outscope from 03/06/2002 to 25/07/2005.

During Mahen’s service with us I admired him for his many valuable qualities, and regarded him with evermore respect.  Very goal oriented, Mahen was always easygoing.  Mahen demonstrated from early in his tenure that he understood what our business is all about. He was well organized and thrived under adversity. He was quite aware of the bottom line. I suppose doing well in business is easy if you are, as he was, driven in equal measure by both quality and efficiency.

I would like to be very clear about why Mahen is no longer with us.  Mahen is available for new challenges only because of his desire to learn and grow further. We would have loved to see him stay, but certainly understand his need to advance beyond the positions we have available.

In closing, let me say I have no hesitation in recommending Mahen Mudalige for any position pertaining to information technology.  I feel confident he would be an asset to any organization in any country.
